Hybrid Topology in Networking
Hybrid Topology
Figure: Hybrid Topology
A
hybrid topology is a network configuration that integrates two or more
different network topologies. Examples of topologies that can be combined in a
hybrid setup include bus, mesh, and ring, star, and tree topologies. The choice
to utilize a hybrid topology instead of a standard one depends on the specific
requirements of a business, school, or users. Factors such as the number of
computers, their physical locations, and the desired network performance play a
crucial role in the decision-making process. By leveraging a hybrid topology,
organizations can tailor their network infrastructure to meet their unique
needs effectively. Figure 3.11 shows the Tree topology diagram.
